Lucy Nwabwengi is a qualified Valuer and Estate Agent with over 15 years professional experience.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Land Economics and a post graduate degree in Master of Urban Management both from the University of Nairobi. She is a full member of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya and a registered and licensed Valuer under the Valuers Registration Board.
Lucy has worked as a Valuer and property manager both in public and private practice. As a Valuer she has been involved in real estate appraisals of both agricultural and urban properties for mortgage purposes, sale and puchase,
insurance, asset valuation, and rent assesment.
In 1995 to 1996 worked as a Trainee Valuer with Mureithi Valuers and Estate Agents, Nyeri. The company dealt with valuations for both agricultural and urban properties in Nyeri, and greater Mount Kenya Region (Laikipia, Meru, Kirinyaga and Embu).
From 1996 to 1997 she worked as a valuer with the ministry of lands, Nairobi. Valuations done included market valuations for sale or purchase, rent assessment, stamp duty valuations. This involved residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural properties
From 2007 to 2009 she worked as senior property manager, Gimco Limited. She was the head of commercial properties department. Main duties were management of commercial buildings in Nairobi on contract basis. The buildings had total of over 640,000 sq. ft. Duties included rent billing and collection, lease adminstration, supervision of staff, supervision of service providers preparation of reports to the landlord, liaison between the landlord and the tenants, meeting the contract targets. She was also involved in valuation of properties for mortgage, sale and purchase purposes.
Lucy joined Kenya Valuers & Estate Agents in 2010 as a Senior Valuer.
